Fifth-grader Qualifies for World Golf Championship

Madison DoMars Area Centennial School fifth-grader Madison Do qualified for the 2024 U.S. Kids Golf Foundation World Championship, to be held Aug. 1-3 in Pinehurst, N.C.

Do will enter the championship with Priority Level 11 status, which she earned by placing first overall in the Girl 9-10 Division in the Fall 2023 Pittsburgh Local Tour Series, during which she also had four first place finishes. She, who began golfing at age 4, will compete in the Girls 11 Division at the World Championships.

Tri-State Section PGA Drive, Chip & Putt Sub-Regional Qualifier

Madison DoMars Area Centennial School fifth-grader Madison Do earned second place in the Girls 10-11 Division at the Tri-State Section PGA Drive, Chip & Putt Sub-Regional Qualifier, held Aug. 10 at Nemacolin Woodlands.

Do earned a total of 64 points with three shots in each of the Drive (10 points) Chip (3 points) and Putt (51 points) skills areas and qualified for the Tri-State PGA Drive, Chip & Putt Regional Qualifier, to be held on Saturday, Sept. 16, at Aronimink Golf Club (Newtown Square, Pa.).
