Mars Area School District will join in the fight against breast cancer as part of its annual “Hats for Heroes” fund-raiser on Friday, Oct. 20, to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

As part of the event, students will be asked to make a donation in return for the opportunity to wear a hat in school on Friday, Oct. 20. (Note: In 2016, the schools raised a combined $12,200.97 for the cause.)

Anyone interested in contributing to the cause may drop off donations at the schools’ main offices. All checks should be made payable to “Susan G. Komen Foundation.”
