Mars Area School District will join in the fight against breast cancer as part of its annual “Hats for Heroes” fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 18, to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

As part of the event, students in Grades K-8 will be asked to make a donation in return for the opportunity to wear a hat in school on Friday, Oct. 18. (Note: In 2018, the schools raised a combined $7,556 for the cause.)

Anyone interested in contributing to the cause may drop off donations at the schools’ main offices during school hours. Checks may be made payable to “Susan G. Komen Foundation.”
