Mars Area School District’s schools will join in a “Gold Out” fundraiser on Tuesday, Nov. 26, to benefit the 2019-2020 Pennsylvania State University THON.

Students and staff members are encouraged to wear gold in support of the Pennsylvania State University Interfraternity Council (IFC)/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (THON). The annual fundraiser benefits the Four Diamonds, which supports children being treated for cancer at Penn State Children’s Hospital.

The schools will also accept freewill donations to the cause. Checks may be made payable to “Penn State Dance Marathon.”

The District is partnering with Atlas Benefiting THON at the request of Mars Area graduate (Class of 2016) and current Penn State senior Justin Ceasar, who is the charitable organization’s donor and alumni relations chair. Atlas Benefiting THON provides emotional support to Four Diamonds families, raises awareness of pediatric cancer, funds pediatric cancer research, and more.
