Students in five fifth grade classes at Mars Area Centennial School will test their knowledge of various fantasy novels as part of “Battle of the Books” reading competitions at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 16.

As part of the competition, teams of students will answer a series of questions about several books including “The City of Ember” by Jeanne DuPrau, “Witch & Wizard” by James Patterson, “Kingdom Keepers: Disney After Dark” by Ridley Pearson, “Gregor the Overlander” by Suzanne Collins, “Indian in the Cupboard” by Lynne Reid Banks and “Coraline” by Neil Gaiman.
