Two Mars Area School District elementary schools will offer Scholastic Book Fairs as follows:
- Mars Area Centennial School — Friday, Sept. 22, through Friday, Sept. 29 (Family Night — Thursday, Sept. 28, 4 to 6 p.m.)
- Mars Area Primary Center — Monday through Friday, Sept. 25-29. (Family Night — Wednesday, Sept. 27, 4 to 6 p.m.) Online at https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/marspc
The schools will also hold the following Book Fair Theme Days:
- Friday, Sept. 22 — “Fiction: We are the Main Characters of Our Own Stories” — Students may wear a t-shirt featuring their favorite character. (Mars Area Centennial School Only)
- Monday, Sept. 25 — “Adventure: We’re Wild About Reading” — Students may wear clothing with animal prints or pictures.
- Tuesday, Sept. 26 — “Non-fiction: Celebrate Curiosity” — Students may wear a t-shirt featuring a non-fiction topic.
- Wednesday, Sept. 27 — “Be the Kind Kid & Read Day” — Students are encouraged to wear their #bethekindkid t-shirts
- Thursday, Sept. 28 — “Fantasy: Reading is Magical & Bright” — Students may wear neon or tie-dye colors.
- Friday, Sept. 29 — “We’re All Readers at Mars” — Students may wear blue and gold colors.
