Mars Area Centennial School will hold several theme days, Monday, Feb. 10, through Friday, Feb. 14, in celebration of the school’s American Heart Association fundraiser.
- Monday, Feb. 10 — “Wake Up with Love in Your Heart!” — wear pajamas
- Tuesday, Feb. 11 — “Exercise Makes the Heart Healthy!” — wear workout clothes
- Wednesday, Feb. 12 — “Remember to Take Care of Your Heart!” — wear red, pink, purple or a shirt with hearts.
- Thursday, Feb. 13 — “Tackle Heart Disease!” — wear sports jerseys.
- Friday, Feb. 14 — “Going to School is Good for Your Heart!” — wear school colors
The school is continuing to accept donations online at https://www2.heart.org/site/TR?fr_id=11257&pg=personal&px=28849642 or via the American Heart Challenge App through Friday, Feb. 28.
Throughout the fundraiser, students are learning about proper heart health, while participating in heart healthy activities in their physical education classes. Students will also be asked to collect donations for the American Heart Association.
