Mars Area School District’s elementary schools will hold several theme days, Monday, Feb. 9, through Friday, Feb. 13, in celebration of the schools’ American Heart Association fundraisers.
- Monday, Feb. 9 — “Wake Up with Love in Your Heart!” — wear pajamas
- Tuesday, Feb. 10 — “Exercise Makes the Heart Healthy!” — wear workout clothes
- Wednesday, Feb. 11 — “Being Kind is Good for Your Heart!” — wear #bethekindkid apparel
- Thursday, Feb. 12 — “Remember to Take Care of Your Heart!” — wear red, pink, purple or a shirt with hearts.
- Friday, Feb. 13 — “Going to School is Good for Your Heart!” — wear school colors (blue & gold)
Throughout the fundraiser, students will be learning about proper heart health, while participating in heart healthy activities in their physical education classes. Students will also be asked to collect donations for the American Heart Association.
