Fifth-grader Named Winner of School Poster Contest

Anya IgnatukMars Area Centennial School fifth-grader Anya Ignatuk was selected as the winner of the school’s Read Across America Week Poster Contest.

The contest, open to all fifth- and sixth-graders, asked students to create a poster on the theme, “Discover the Magic of Reading.”

Ignatuk’s poster features the message, “You can find MAGIC wherever you LOOK. Sit back and RELAX, all you need is a BOOK.”

As the contest winner, she received a $10 gift certificate to the school’s Spring Scholastic Book Fair and other prizes.

All students who submitted entries in the contest were entered into a prize drawing a bag of books. Randomly selected winners are sixth-grader Sydney Denk and fifth-graders Nathan Deemer and Cassandra Pistner.
