Mars Area Centennial School sixth-grader Mia Gratton qualified for the USA Weightlifting 2020 National Youth Championships, to be held June 26-28 in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Gratton, who began weightlifting competitively in October 2019, qualified for the national championships in her first event at the 2020 East Coast Gold (ECG) Gold Cup Challenge in October 2019 at PFP Barbell Club. She currently lifts 65 pounds in the snatch and 100 pounds in the clean and jerk.
