Earlier this week, Mars Area Centennial School sixth-graders had their first look at the 10-hole miniature golf course that they designed and built in their STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Mathematics) classes.
In November, students in each sixth grade classroom worked in groups to plan and design one hole of the 10-hole miniature golf course, using recycled materials to create ramps, tunnels and other obstacles.
After learning how to properly putt a ball and to score a miniature golf game in their physical education classes, the students now have a chance to play the course, which is housed in the school’s fitness rooms.
