District Winners in PennDOT Poster Contest Selected

Mars Area School District has selected its winning entries in the District’s 2022 Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) School Bus Safety Poster Contest.

In Division 1, open to students in Grades K-2, kindergartner Luke Dye, received first place; first-grader Elliana Lucchini, second place; and first-grader Harley Kmoch, third place. In Division 2 (3-5), third-grader Emma Eriksen took first place; fifth-grader Rhythm Srivastava, second place; and fourth-grader Zanetos Argeras, third place. And, in Division 3 (6-8), sixth-grader Alexis Riner received first place; sixth-grader Reese Polito, second place; and sixth-grader Mahin Ugle, third place.

The first place winners’ entries will be submitted to the 2022 PennDOT School Bus Safety Poster Contest. Winners of the state contest will be announced in May 2022.

All District winners will be recognized during an Awards Ceremony to be held during National School Bus Safety Week (October) at the beginning of the 2022-2023 School Year. And, their posters will be displayed in the Board Room at the District’s Administration Office.
