Effective Wednesday, Nov. 15, the gate at the top of Officer Edward Brooks Drive (the access road connecting Route 228 to the Mars Area Centennial School campus) will be CLOSED at all times, with the exception of during school bus arrival/dismissal times.

The gate closure has become necessary to eliminate cut-through traffic between Route 228 and Meredith Drive/Davidson Road/Three Degree Road, which has significantly increased with the onset of road construction along Route 228. Access to Mars Area Centennial School will remain available via the school’s main entrance along Winfield Manor Drive; and access to the softball fields via Route 228.
