Several Mars Area Centennial School students joined in a Wild Investigation, held March 14 at Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium
The activity, which was hosted by Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV, offered the fifth- and sixth-graders an opportunity to meet some of the zoo’s animal ambassadors and challenged the students to complete scavenger hunts and solve science problems.
The group of sixth-graders Everly Henderson, Emma Johnston, Jackie Li and Mary Rhenish received first place for their work in the scavenger hunt.
Other participating students included sixth-grader Jackson Wagner and fifth-graders Reese Carrel, Noah Fecich, Maxwell McEwen, Giovanni Morales, Hannah Nam, Benen Pears, Seth Pedicone, Kristin Sadhu, Alison White and Chaarvi Yogesh.
