Mars Area Centennial School will be having a Parent Orientation Night from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28.
Parents will be welcomed by Dr. Adam Kostewicz in the Centennial School at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium. Classroom presentations will begin at approximately 7 p.m.
The format below for the Orientation will give you an opportunity to follow your child's team of teachers to gain an understanding of course content and objectives. Again, we remind you that this evening is for parents only.
Orientation Schedule:
6 to 7:50 p.m. — 5th Grade Band Introduction with Mrs. Redmond/Cafeteria
6 to 6:30 p.m. — "Welcome Back" led by Dr. Kostewicz
6:45 to 7:05 p.m. — Session I
7:10 to 7:30 p.m. — Session II
7:35 to 7:55 p.m. — Session III
8 p.m. — End of the Evening
6:50 to 8 p.m. — License Scanning and Car Cards Available in the Main Office
Teachers will present the same information at each of the sessions. It is our hope that this format will provide you with the opportunity to visit two different classrooms during the evening. Special area teachers will also be discussing their programs during Sessions I and II.
PARKING — To alleviate parking problems, the parking lot at the softball fields, and along Officer Brooks Way, will be available for parking. Please do not park on Winfield Manor Drive or along the driveway leading up to the school.
Again, please keep in mind that the purpose of the evening is to give you an opportunity to be introduced to your child's teacher and to receive an overview of the classroom policies, procedures, curriculum, and expectations.
We look forward to seeing you!
