Mars Area Centennial School fifth grade teacher William Sepich was recognized through the Forever Pittsburgh Media ““Give a Teacher an Apple” Contest.

Sixth-grader Aspen Stepanic nominated Sepich, who was her fifth grade science and social studies teacher last school year.

In her entry, she noted that Sepich “made me love social studies because he was good at teaching it. I will remember what he taught me forever. He also made time for fun. He would tell us funny stories about when he was a kid in our grade. Mr. Sepich was the best teacher ever.”

On Oct. 15, Sepich was presented with the award, a FROGGY 94.9 104.3 t-shirt and an iPad mini.
