Students Create, Play Virtual Carnival Games

Fifth-graders at Mars Area Centennial School created virtual carnival games as part of STEAM lesson on engineering, animation and 3D design.

The students learned about different types of carnival games, how they work, and how they can be rigged. The fifth-graders then used the Tinkercad app, along with their engineering and animation skills to design their own 3D carnival games. At the conclusion of the project, the students challenged their classmates to play their carnival games.

The students used pretend money to pay for two chances at each game and, if they won, earned tickets to trade in for prizes. For more information, call (724) 625-2601.
