Several Mars Area Centennial School students participated in the Keystone Competition, held Feb. 17 at Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV.
The event asked students to work together to brainstorm, design, build and present “Shark Tank style” a solution for a real-world challenge affecting schools across Pennsylvania. In the 5th-6th Grade Division, sixth-graders Alexander Chernykh, Asher Detore and Landon Lewis received second place for their “Snow Bus” invention.
Other participants included sixth-graders Jack Baumgartel, Cayley Chaffee, Lila Demetris, Gillian Everest, Lucy Harrison, Bennett Kreit, Constance Miller, Ashrith Muppala, Adalyn Stuber and Maximus Veneziano; and, fifth-graders Noah Bergdahl, Lukas Fecich, Kendall Fonzi, Jessica Li, Eleanor McCauley, Angelo Navari, Everly Northrop, Pranshu Thakkar and Hannah Ziegler.
