Fifth-, Sixth-graders Join in ‘Wild Investigations’

Several Mars Area Centennial School and Mars Area Elementary School students joined in a Wild Investigation, held March 10 at Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium. 

Participating students included fifth-graders Noah Bergdahl, Luke Fecich, Kendall Fonzi, Jane Lyons, Eleanor McCauley, Angelo Navarro, Everly Northrop, Pranshu Thakkar, Charlie Xuan and Hannah Ziegler; and fourth-graders L.J. Crawford, Brady Gaab, Carly Gibson, Winnie Hawk, Kiya Kier, Avery Kreit, River Lint, Avery Mahon, Lucian Mankey, Thaddeus Mankey, Avery Mendecino, Oscar Mulvaney, Spencer Mundy, Dean Newkirk, Amelia Palermo, Isaac Sedei, Tyson Szleong, Edison Thiry and Juliette Wagner.

The activity, which was hosted by Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV, offered the fifth- and sixth-graders an opportunity to meet some of the zoo’s animal ambassadors and challenged the students to complete scavenger hunts and answer questions about the animals.
