Numerous students at Mars Area Centennial School read more than a million words as part of a library challenge issued at the start of the 2017-2018 School Year.

The program, offered through the school’s library, encouraged students to read as much as possible throughout the school year. Top readers are sixth-grader Lauren Haley (4,635,368 words) and fifth-grader Caitlin Olesnevich (4,758,606).
